Our rustic cellar door overlooks our biodynamically farmed vineyard in Red Hill. Winner of Gourmet Traveller’s Best Small Cellar Door Award in 2022.

Open from weekend from 11am to 4pm you can join us for a tasting of our new release wines which includes our premium Avani syrah and our Amrit range of wines which includes our pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot gris for $10pp. We are able to host groups of up to eight people.

We are so excited to have Poodle Bar & Bistro join us for a takeover during the long weekend, showcasing their European cuisine for an afternoon at the winery.

Head Chef Josh Fry will be putting together a shared style lunch for $95pp (food only). Expect dishes with a French / European focus. Check out the menu.

Come and join us in a relaxed setting, with wine glasses clinking and a fun and fabulous time.

Chef’s Mischa Tropp and Devendra Singh will be putting together a three course share style menu paired with Avani wines. Expect big flavours.

Yatra Foundation Australia is a non-governmental, non-religious and not-for-profit organisation based in Australia, established to provide  disadvantaged children in India the opportunity to access quality education.

Yatra Foundation integrates basic health initiatives into the  educational settings, and is non-discriminatory with regards to gender,  religion or caste in student selection. Currently, over 1100 students are being offered a quality education by Yatra Foundation, in northern and southern India, that they would otherwise have no access to.

Avani is a Sanskrit word that means ‘the earth’.

A family owned winery established by Shashi and Devendra Singh is a small-batch producer of premium cool-climate wines on the Mornington Peninsula.

Shashi manages her estate vineyard biodynamically and the three additional sites they work with on the Peninsula are all farmed organically or sustainably.

Winemakers Shashi and her son Rohit want each wine to tell the story of each site and the growing season. For them it is about minimising additions and being as gentle as possible during the winemaking process. Under this minimal intervention approach the wines are allowed to ferment with wild yeast, are unfiltered and unfined.

In addition to making syrah, pinot noir and chardonnay the duo also make a range of vibrant skin-contact varieties. The rustic and award winning cellar door overlooks the estate vineyard and is open every weekend from 11am to 5pm. Featured in 2022 as Gourmet Traveller’s Best Small Cellar Door for Mornington.

Over the summer months Avani also hosts top Melbourne chef’s for a series of pop-up up events. Keep an eye out!
