Avani x Dalchini
26 & 27 June and 3 & 4 July
We are excited to welcome Chef Ved Navghare (ex-Head Chef Tonka, ex-Coda and finalist in the Good Food Guide’s Young Chef of the Year 2017) to Avani for our Winter Pop-up. Through his modern Indian pop-ups Ved reinvents traditional Indian recipes using modern techniques and seasonal local produce.
Ved will be creating a special six course set menu (85pp) which will be paired with the range of new release Avani wines. Places are limited and bookings are recommended.
Avani is a Sanskrit word that means ‘the earth’.
We are a small batch producer of premium cool-climate wines on the Mornington Peninsula. Through a minimal intervention approach to winemaking we create wines of character which best express their site and growing season.
Avani syrah is made exclusively from grapes grown on our estate vineyard in Red Hill South following biodynamic principles.
Our Amrit range features pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot gris from grapes sourced from other vineyards in the region. We also experiment with new winemaking approaches in our limited release vintages (skin-contact pinot gris, sauvignon blanc and pinot noir sparkling pet-nat).
All our current release vintages are available for tasting at our winery and cellar door every weekend from 11am to 4pm. We offer a seated wine-tasting experience and are happy to host groups of up to eight people. Send us an email to book. Walk-ins are welcome.
